Diogenes Modules Receives Final DNV2.7-2 Certification for Oil and Gas Accommodation Container

25 January 2010

Diogenes Modules has recently received the final certification for its top end accommodation container G-Major design.

Certification was conducted by Germanischer Lloyd's Hamburg office. After previously receiving certification according to CSC, IMO MSC/Circ.860, EN12079 and DNV 2.7-1, the new DNV 2.7-2 Offshore Service Container certificate rounds off our certificate portfolio.

The G-Major accommodation container is the top end of three different accommodation module derivatives. The accommodation unit provides bunks, desks, locker space and an ensuite shower/bathroom for two people. With a positive pressure air conditioning system and a sophisticated alarm system, both built to ATEX explosion proof standard, this unit is fit for application in the oil and gas industry.

Two other accommodation container derivatives, G-Minor and D-Minor sleeping two and four occupants, are built to same standard, quality and finish, without fulfilling the ex-hazard requirements and therefore perfectly suite the raising wind energy market and application on sea going ships and barges.

Please contact us for more information about all Diogenes Modules products, comprising containerised modules for office space, galleys, mess rooms, laundry and black and white facilities as well as the corresponding services of transport, setup and crewing of any accommodation arrangement.
