McNulty Offshore Construction is considered to be the UK's foremost offshore oil and gas fabricator. Acknowledged as an intelligent and innovative contractor, McNulty has matured from its 1906 beginnings as a small stevedore supply company to the port of Tyne, to what we see today as Europe's number one FPSO / FPU topsides contractor.
We pride ourselves on our flexible and innovative approach, which allows us to offer a wide range of construction solutions and services to our clients. The skills of our workforce combined with our proven track record ensure we deliver our client projects on time.
Safety is an essential component of our culture. Our reputation has been built on our safety performance to such an extent that in 2007 we were awarded the British Safety Council Sword of Honour for the tenth consecutive year.
McNulty Group acquired Consafe, a provider of bespoke modular solutions, in February 2005. Consafe has over 30 years' experience in providing a range of solutions, including living quarters, and utility and process buildings, to onshore and offshore oil and gas clients worldwide. The acquisition means that Consafe now has the ability to utilise the McNulty deepwater fabrication facility.
Consafe's buildings are designed and manufactured as a series of open structural modules that, when assembled, combine to form a fully integrated building. This approach allows Consafe to deliver entire buildings fabricated off-site - with the minimum of on-site assembly work.
The McNulty fabrication facility is strategically positioned close to the entrance of the North Sea. Our extensive experience in the offshore oil and gas industry means that we are able to deliver a wide range of complex assemblies and structures fabricated across the spectrum of the industry codes and standards.
Our structural steel fabrication services cover a wide range of offshore oil and gas structures, including:McNulty has a wide and varied experience in the fabrication of topside process and utility piping. We also have an extensive history in fabricating linepipe and spools for the subsea sector. We have the capacity to expend annually in our pipe shops 400,000 man hours, which equates to 2,500te of pipework.
All piping is welded to approved procedures qualified to appropriate national and international codes and standards such as ASME IX, BS EN 288 and BS4515, as well as nominated client specifications and contract requirements.
Our welding procedure portfolio covers welding of the following materials:
We are also certified to modules D and D1 of 97/23/EC pressure equipment directive (PED).
McNulty specialises in the installation of electrical equipment in both hazardous and non-hazardous areas of an offshore oil and gas facility. We offer a total E&I service from project conception through to commissioning.
Ever-changing regulatory requirements mean that we have a legal obligation to ensure that our systems and processes are not only safely delivered but also comply with such regulations. This is achieved by having nine individual modules in place to ensure that every eventuality or risk is identified, recorded and mitigated.
McNulty has considerable experience of successfully completing several high-value offshore oil and gas contracts. Our success in completing so many projects is due mainly to the effectiveness of our project management teams. We employ experienced project managers and project engineers, who have the ability to execute multi-discipline projects to high safety and quality standards often within strict and difficult programme constraints.
Experience has been gained in a variety of contracting styles. Through these contracts, we continue to emphasise the importance of creating and maintaining good working relationships with all parties involved in the project, and regard a harmonious working environment and alignment of project goals as a key factor in the successful execution of a contract.
Using our proven project management strategy, we can provide a project management service to clients who are not in the business of engineering but require effective independent engineering control.
