Workfox operates from bases in both the UK and the Netherlands, and has an experienced organisational structure that incorporates general management, operations, engineering, safety and quality management, as well as logistics and purchasing. All key personnel, including marine crews, are fully qualified, and great importance is attached to meeting statutory training requirements. FOUR-PERSON STACKABLE, OFFSHORE CABINSWorkfox will soon be able to offer a new two by two-person accommodation unit. These units are suitable for three-high stacking, with an A-60 fire safety rating, equipped with overpressure, an AC unit, fire and gas detection and emergency exits. Workfox's proposal for the four-person unit is based on a fully welded construction, and each unit will weigh approximately 8,200kg. Measuring 6.30m by 3.20m, the units have a height of 2.90m. The design will be approved by Lloyd’s Register of Shipping. The acommodation will be suitable for installation in a hazardous area classified as Zone 2 – IIB – T3. The layout will consist of two separate sleeping cabins with a shared shower, toilet and wash compartment with a mutual entrance. WEATHER PROTECTED ACCOMMODATION UNITS FOR OFFSHORE RIGSThe design of the units operates on consideration of their purpose, and the requirements of the industry. A selection of coating systems will be applied to each unit to protect the steel structure from the corrosive conditions. Additionally, all piping systems and cable trays shall be hot dip galvanized. The exterior door will be steel and weather tight. The design of the heating and ventilation is also based on North Sea conditions. Air will not be recycled. Air will be distributed inside the accommodation through ventilation inlet grills in the cabin walls at high level. The accommodation will be pressurized to a minimum of 50Pa. Overpressure will be indicated by a pressure gauge. Air will be supplied via a fan with an air replacement of 150m³/hr. The piping and plumbing systems include potable hot and cold water systems, seawater, a gray and black drain system and a sprinkler system. FULLY EQUIPPED AND FURNISHED Each room will be equipped and furnished. One telephone socket will be provided in each cabin, as well as a TV connection, telephone and video cables terminated in one dedicated ex-junction box in the technical cabinet of the accommodation. Further furnishings include reading lights, a writing desk, desk chair, technical storage cupboard and bed curtains. Ventilation, heating, lighting and small power installation is based on incoming power supply (to be provided and connected by others) of 400V/3ph/50Hz. The junction box for hook-up will be placed in the technical cabinet of the accommodation. There will be one power distribution panel, designed, supplied and installed for small power and lighting, ventilation, heating and AC. SAFETY CERTIFIED ACCOMMODATION Each unit will be fully equipped to ISO 9001:2000 quality management standards for the operation and management of a fleet of jack-up offshore support and accommodation units including the safety and pollution prevention requirements of IMO Resolution A.741 (18).
