ECA Group, a leading manufacturer of advanced robotics and intelligent solutions for hydrographical and oceanographic survey, offshore inspection and manipulation, Homeland Security and Mine Warfare will showcase the latest generation of subsea robotic inspection and intervention systems at OI, booth A305.

ECA is today proposing an integrated solution for hydrographical and oceanographic survey, called SIMBA 455, a vessel with embarked Unmanned and Remote controlled Vehicles on board for carrying out different missions.

The recent marriage of ECA with Triton Imaging Inc., a leading provider of software and integrated solutions for seafloor search/survey. will further enhance the return on investment of future customers.
Triton products are used by commercial, scientific, and military organizations worldwide to acquire, process, visualize, and interpret data from a wide array of sensors including: sidescan, SAS, multibeam, sub-bottom, swath bathymetry, and single beam echosounders.

Systems on display will include:

Autonomous Unmanned Underwater Vehicle ALISTER for high resolution imagery, identification and classification tasks, bathymetry and sediment analysis.

A mock up of Unmanned Surface Vehicle INSPECTOR in its configuration for shallow water hydrographic survey, coastal and harbor security and oil & gas survey. The USVs very shallow draught together with a twin-hydrojet propulsion provide high maneuverability, flexibility of payloads (TSSS, MBES, SBES, CTD, ADCP etc. ) and the choice between manual, remote controlled and fully automatic mode of operation.

TRITON SOFTWARE SUITES such like Isis Sonar – Sidescan data display and processing, TargetPro – Manual target acquisition and target analysis, TritonMap – Map-based data fusion, BathyPro – Bathymetric data processing, SB-Interpreter – Seismic data display and processing, 3DViz – 3D perspective display of bathymetric & sidescan data, SeaClass – Seabed classification.

The Roving Bat ROV and crawler inspects the hulls of ships, FPSOs, underwater structures and hydraulic dams. RovingBat is currently in service offshore in Brazil for FPSO inspection & control (Floating Production, Storage and Offloading vessels). It features 6 built-in thrusters, making it very powerful and capable of withstanding the strongest of currents for stable and reliable inspection.

ECA’s H300 is a small, lightweight inspection ROV rated to a depth of 300m. Rapidly deployed from any ship or platform, the H300 is equipped with high-resolution sonar, video camera and spotlights and is particularly adapted to inspection and diver-support tasks.

Remotely operated ELECTRIC 5 function manipulator arm developed by ECA’s UK subsidiary, CSIP, has a lift capacity of 25kg and can be mounted in the same footprint as a conventional hydraulic arm without the use of a skid, valve pack or hydraulic pump. This saves weight and allows greater vehicle manoeuvrability.
