Brand-Rex Limited was established in the UK in 1972, whilst the company's roots stretch back to 1942 in the United States when the original Brand Corp and Rex Corp cable companies merged to support an increased demand for aircraft cabling. Since this time, the company has gained both the experience and credibility that has ensured our reputation as one of the most respected and trusted voices in the market today.

BRAND-REX SPECIALITY CABLING SOLUTIONS

Speciality cabling solutions have long formed an integral part of the Brand-Rex portfolio. The speciality cabling business based in Leigh near Manchester, is a leading supplier of copper and optic cabling products for demanding environments. Brand-Rex has an extensive heritage as a bespoke cable manufacturer in high performance markets.

Over the years we have invested heavily in the business, placing particular emphasis on both our product capabilities and our quality and process systems. In 2005 our Leigh facility was established as the 'centre of excellence' for our speciality cabling business and the capability of the plant extensively expanded.

Our materials and cabling capability are extensive. In our Leigh facility we use high performance thermoplastic, elastomer and thermo-polymer insulations and sheathing materials, conductors and other components such as metallic and textile braids and armours. Our processing capability covers extruding, taping and radiation cross-linking.

CABLING PRODUCTS: ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

The environmental impacts of our cabling products are a key business concern and Brand-Rex is compliant to ROHS for all relevant products and the European automotive 'end of life' requirements. Our products are designed to comply with ISO/EN 14001 and the company has an established and accredited environmental management system.
