Diamould Limited designs and manufactures electrical, hydraulic and fibre optic connectors primarily for use in hostile environments. We provide innovative technical engineering solutions, which utilise advanced materials for high-performance applications.

Our team of highly-skilled engineers has a wealth of experience in the offshore oil and gas industry, having developed connector systems for topside, subsea and downhole applications since the early 1990s. Our design engineers are renowned for their 'leading edge' design and development expertise - from concept, through to detailed design, qualification testing and production.

INNOVATION

Diamould personnel have considerable experience in the front end design of cutting edge subsea technology with a growing design team that is second to none. Our design team utilises the latest technology to produce concepts that continually push the envelope.

Existing Diamould connector systems incorporate attributes that are not available anywhere else and have proved to be significant differentiators for our clients. For example, contact pins that are completely protected from the environment at all times mean that dummy connectors and caps are not a requirement with our wet-mate systems and also intervention time is greatly reduced.

STANDARDISATION

Diamould's Seawell and Sealtite instrumentation connectors have become accepted standards in the industry for our major clients. These connectors are currently being sold around the globe and the portfolio of these connectors is ever-expanding.

The non-soldering termination techniques (applied across our whole connector range) mean that actual termination time is greatly reduced, and that workshop equipment and personnel training is kept to a minimum.

POWER CONNECTORS

Diamould also specialises in the manufacture of power connectors for offshore oil and gas applications. Our ranges include:

• SEAPOWER 01, a wet-mate, single phase, 5kV 125A, downhole ESP connector
• SEAPOWER 02, a wet-mate, three phase, 8kV 220A, subsea power connector
• SEAPOWER 02 X-OVER, an umbilical cross-over unit to complement the SEAPOWER 02 system

MILESTONES

• 1999: Diamould is formed by a group of directors with many years experience to create new, innovative connector products for the oil and gas industry
• 2001-2002: Diamould qualifies the SEAWELL02 connector system for baker oil tools with Petrobras being the end client
• 2001-2002: Diamould qualifies the SEAWELL03 connector system for Petrobras
• 2002: Diamould qualifies the SEAPOWER 01 Wireline retrievable ESP connector (single phase - 5kv 150A) for Shell
• 2003: SEAWELL02 connector system is successfully deployed as part of the Baker InCharge intelligent well system for the Marlim Sul field
• 2003: Diamould supplied 2-off mating pairs of connectors for integration into WellDynamics SCRAMS system (SmartWell technology) for Petrobras. Successfully deployed in Roncador field
• 2004: Diamould develops SEAWELL01 system for Schlumberger WCP (Houston)
• 2004: Diamould provides SEAWELL02 connectors and wellhead outlets for deployment on Snorre B project
• 2004 – 2005: In a joint venture with Shell and Schlumberger Diamould develops the world's first downhole, wet-mate, single mode fibre optic connector
• 2005 – 2006: Ormen Lange - supply of SEAWELL03 connectors
• 2005 – 2006: Jubarte 2 and Jubarte 6 - development and supply of SEAPOWER02 and SEASWITCH connectors and umbilical crossover units
