Fleximark Supplies Stainless Steel Cable Markers for the Snohvit Project

Fleximark® in Sweden is since many years a member of the Achilles register and have supplied marking products during decades to the Norwegian Offshore Industry. The customer, Statoil, has specified Fleximark AB as a Marking Systems supplier, especially involving the Snohvit project.
Without surface installations, the Snohvit project involved bringing huge volumes of natural gas to land for liquefaction and export from the first plant of its kind in Europe and the world’s northernmost liquefied natural gas facility. It comprised 100.000 signs and Fleximark was chosen thanks to the high quality of the products and the company’s capability to deliver large quantities. The products sold from July and onwards are a part of the Fleximark Customized range, a service that includes customized texts, sizes and different ways off application.
The Fleximark® Stainless system is designed to meet the demands of tough and hazardous industrial environments, offering vital resistance to potential fire, water and chemical attack in the interests of safety. The highly durable markers have embossed characters that can be read even if they get dirty or are painted, and being low-smoke and halogen-free, they are particularly suitable for the offshore oil and gas industry. They can be attached to flat surfaces with rivets or screws using the holes provided, or fixed securely to cables or other round objects, such as pipes or hoses, with cable ties.
Fleximark® products are available in a range of systems for marking all types of cables, components and equipment across a wide range of industries. They can be supplied ready-made, or depending on the system, relevant characters can simply be snapped off pre-punched strips and inserted in the holder supplied.
