Installit is a subsea marine cable company with a separate engineering department (Installit Marine Engineering). The company compromises both client and contractor assistance during marine operations, cable laying and trenching. We provide both
on-site personnel as well as in-house installation engineering. This way, our office handles all stages of the subsea line and cable installation, from the pre-contract stage until the last documents are completed and the plant fully handed over.

Through devotion and extensive experience from various marine operations, we have the know-how to either assist or take charge of the cable installation, inshore or offshore.

Installit has self-developed products that are used offshore, including the SECure TRAnsponder retainer, protection cover and the Energon floater.

Mini buoy for subsea operations

The Energon floater / mini buoy eases installation, keeps track of equipment, positions and ensures minimal loss of time during operations. This product allows for the easy installation of slings under pipelines, umbilicals, or other items on the seabed. It can be used as shoes in rails on installation frames for hoses, cables and bundles during deployment.

Clamp protection cover

Our protection cover protects products during installation. Utilisation of the clamp protection cover will ensure that no sharp edges or stud bolts are exposed during installation and operation of risers in subsea applications. This significantly reduces the risk of damaging equipment in the close vicinity of the riser.

The product can be custom designed according to specification, and is available machined or moulded. Similar applications can be protected.

Secure transponder retainer

By utilising the SECure TRAnsponder retainer (SECTRA) during crane operations, your company can reduce exposure to falling objects.

During subsea crane operations, the exact location of the crane hook is a requirement from a safety and operational point of view. To achieve such position, a transponder that sends signals to the surface is required.

The SECTRA retains the transponder in a safe pocket and eliminates the risk for damage during handling. The crane hook can be lowered to deck, with the SECTRA mounted onto the crane wire and the transponder inserted in the retainer.

During installation the crane hook can always be secured on the deck with no risk for damaging the transponder, and personnel do not need to expose themselves to a swinging hook. SECTRA can also be mounted on subsea structures.

Installit is a multi-discipline company with extensive experience from different marine operations. We specialise in consulting towards installation, protection and securing subsea lines and submarine cables (both power cables), telecommunications cables, pipelines, flexible risers and umbilical.

The company engages more than 12 full-time employees with experience ranging from engineering, diving, project management and operation management. Each co-worker combines his extensive experience with the ability to utilise new computer technology to aid in the projects.

Installit Marine Engineering conducts independent projects in general within the on and offshore industry. Installit Marine Engineering serves as an engineering department for Installit.

The company consists of naval architects with special expertise within marine structures, marine hydrodynamics and marine operations with experience from, among others, offshore installations, floating production vessels, offshore vessels and high-speed craft.
