Pskovgeokabel - Armoured Logging Cables, Umbilical, Tubes, Winches

Pskovgeokabel specialise in the development and production of a wide range of cables, used for reconnaissance and extraction of minerals. Our products are used for geophysical studies of petroleum and gas wells, field seismic and electrical prospecting, sea deep-water studies; sea electrical sounding, maintenance and the repair of bore holes.

ARMOURED LOGGING CABLES

The load-bearing armoured cables for geophysical studies in wells are our basic products. Our cables are utilised by a Russian geophysical and oil-producing enterprises.

In addition to conventional geophysical cables we produce a range of specialised products. We produce armoured cables in which the steel cable armature is protected by polymeric material, which makes it possible to work without limitations in any aggressive medium.

These cables showed very good results working in boreholes with aggressive media and are alternatives to cables with armour made from noncorrosive wire. The period of service of this cable working in the usual boreholes is two times more compared to standard cable.

ELECTRO-OPTIC TOW CABLES

We also manufacture electro-optic tow cables, which have the capacity to operate reliably in extreme borehole conditions. The range of dimensions of electro-optic tow cables is the same as the range of usual geophysical cables, which facilitates adapting the cable to the equipment.

Pskovgeokabel also produce rigid cables for exploration of horizontal well sites. Up to six layers of armour filled with polymeric material, increased diameter and specific weight, ensure their increased axial hardness. The use of these cables allows studying of inclined and horizontal wells from the geophysical hoist, which ensures high mobility and low cost.

Cables for deep-water studies are used on sea geology vessels for transferring video images, power supply of deep-water equipment, selection and lift of bottom samples.

UMBILICAL AND HIGH PRESSURE TUBES

We produce continuous polymeric steel tubes, which are used in the repair of wells. In this case the use of highly flexible and mechanically strong tubes makes it possible to perform well operations from cheaper and more mobile ground-based aggregates.

Another application of these products is the supply of different reagents into wells with a constant suspension of the tube in the well, for output and the transport of oil and gas. In this case the construction of the tube ensures its reliability and fitness for work.

An umbilical is a connection of tube and electrical cable. Our umbilicals can contain various types of electrical conductors (power to AWG 6, control, coaxial and fiberoptic), and water channels with an inside diameter of up to 50mm. At Pskovgeokabel, we appreciate that costs are an important factor in selection, and we ensure that ours are significantly lower than other products on the market.

HEATING CABLES

This group of cables is intended for averting paraffin hydrate appearance in oil wells. The cable is set stationary and its heat output prevents precipitation of paraffins and hydrates. This considerably increases the working time between overhauls of wells. In the production of viscous oil the output increases by 1.2 to 2.5 times.

GEOPHYSICAL HOISTS AND WINCHES

Pskovgeocable develop and produce well hoists with hydraulic, electrical and mechanical drive, on different types of chassis, checking and control bore holes and devices. Measured magnetic markings on the cable of the specialised sea winches provide the use of sea geophysical cables.
