LTKE Series from SPIR STAR

With the LTKE-series we have succeeded in developing a product absolutely made for numerous applications in the offshore sector.
This is achieved by the structure described below:
Around the polyamide inner core up to four layers of aramide fibres are spiralized, a hightech material which is used in the aerospace industry for example. A braided layer of stainless steel wire serves for additionally stabilizing the hose and guarantees that the outer cover adheres to the hose.
The consequent and exclusive use of corrosion-resisting materials makes sure that, if the outer cover of a hose is damaged, the hose itself will remain fully operational despite the penetrating seawater.
Apart from the numerous advantages of our standard products the LTKE-series shows the following additional merits:
· Excellent corrosion resistance
· Lighter weight
· Smaller bend radius
· Kinkresistance despite the lighter weight
At the moment we are offering the hose types 6/2LTKE – for working pressures up to 7,500 psi (520 bar) – and 6/4LTKE – for working pressures up to 10,000 psi (690 bar), but upon request we are able to manufacture hoses with bigger IDs and different inner core materials (e.g. high temperature-resistant PVDF). The available endfitting is a JIC female swivel #6 made of stainless steel (AISI 316) with 7/16”x20 UNF. Special fittings can be provided upon request.
