Fibre-reinforced plastic cable trays

Sumip cable ladder and perforated type FRP cable trays provide reliable cable support in corrosive applications. Both polyester and vinyl ester resin systems are available and all components incorporate UV stabilisers and a surfacing veil to resist corrosive atmospheres.

Glass-reinforced plastic cable trays

GRP cable trays feature corrosion resistance, strength and durability, and are fire retardant, lightweight, UV stable and long life.

FRP / GRP cable trays for offshore applications

FRP / GRP cable trays meet NEMA, ASTM, EIL and UL specifications. Our cable ladder and perforated type FRP/GRP cable trays cover all types of industries, including onshore / offshore platforms, refineries, power plants, chemical, fertilisers, cement plants, etc.

Sumip FRP / GRP cable trays are approved and recommended by various consultants, including Engineers India, Projects and Development India, Toyo Engineering India, MECON, Kvaerner Process, NTPC, Uhde India, and Jacobs Engineering India. SUMIP FRP / GRP cable trays are also approved under third-party inspection by EIL, CEIL, BV, DNU, SGS and Lloyds.

GRP / FRP light poles

Sumip FRP light poles are constructed of polyester / epoxy resin systems and fiberglass woven rowing with more than 65% of the reinforcing fiberglass in the axial vertical plane, which increases the desired rigidity and axial strength.

The pole shift is manufactured by CNC filament winding process. The result of this is a one-piece composites pole with a uniform surface along its entire length. It is coated with a specially formulated polyurethane coating with UV inhibitor to protect the pole and to keep aesthetic and long life.

Sumip FRP pole follows standards such as AASHTO LTS - 4, ANSI C 13620- 1990, IS 875 (part 3) -1987. SUMIP FRP light poles are lightweight, non-conductive, corrosion resistance, high strength, aesthetic and economical. Our poles are capable of 70m/s wind load capacity.

Application of FRP light poles

Sumip FRP light poles are used in all kind of industries, including offshore platforms, chemical plants, docks / water fronts, jetties, colony as a street light, platform lighting and highway lighting, etc.

GRP / FRP luminaires

Sumip FRP luminaires are available in totally enclosed GRP housing suitable for use in non-hazardous, dusty, humid and corrosive atmospheres prevailing in the chemical industry, fertilisers, cement and Rayon plants, as well as industrial / power plants located in coastal areas.

The FRP luminaire product range includes well glass, high-bay, medium-bay and streetlight luminaires. They are available from 70W up to 400W.

Trefoil clamps / single cable cleats

Trefoil clamps are used for high-voltage single-core or higher sizes of cables where the current rating is high and three-core cables are not available. SUMIP Trefoil clamps are used for laying single core cables in Trefoil touching formation, which helps to maintain magnetic symmetry thereby avoiding electromagnetic heating and loss of current.

Sumip Trefoil clamps have been moulded from virgin glass-fibre-filled material. Sumip type TRE 28 Trefoil clamp has been tested satisfactorily at CPRI to withstand 50KA short circuit fault current with spacing between Trefoils clamps kept at 1m distance. Single cable cleats are also available in various sizes.
