Jotron AS, a leading global provider of high-quality communication products and systems for land, sea and air applications, will be presenting at ADIPEC in Abu Dhabi next month. ADIPEC is the largest oil and gas event in the Middle East, attracting more than 51,000 visitors. Jotron will give an in-depth demonstration of its public address and general alarm (PAGA) and telephone solutions, together with its VHF/UHF radio systems for oil and gas applications.

Jotron is using ADIPEC to highlight its PAGA systems, which have been designed and delivered to the industry by Jotron Phontech since 1979. The key focus areas are the maritime and oil and gas sectors.

Jotron sales and marketing director Rolf Andreas Wallin said: "Jotron is well represented in the Middle East market with its maritime products and solutions. In addition to VHF/UHF radios for air traffic control, oil and gas installations, coastal radios and recording products, the company also has vast experience and knowledge of the design and engineering involved in all kinds of PAGA systems."

The Phontech 1700 PAGA is designed to meet tough requirements for PAGA systems in oil and gas and other industrial applications both offshore and onshore. The PAGA solution is deployed at numerous installations across the world. Jotron is heavily involved in the Norwegian oil and gas sector. Norwegian Statoil, the largest operator on the Norwegian continental shelf, is a key customer.

Jotron’s PAGA system distributes messages and alarms with special focus on ease of operation and safety, speech intelligibility, reliability and fault tolerance. The system has built in self-test and monitoring functions for easy and cost-efficient maintenance. Based on plant incidents, the system is designed to provide zone area switching and access priority of live voice and automatically generated alarm inputs. Distribution of prerecorded messages, speech storage and replay are also implemented.

Meet Jotron at ADIPEC, Abu Dhabi, 10 to 13 November booth no 12171 and at Marintech China, Shanghai, 3 to 6 December.
