Final inspections are undertaken by CCA’s in-house test engineers to ensure that all offshore containers, baskets and CCUs leaving the premises meet and exceed the required standards. All new units are designed and manufactured to BS EN 12079 / DNV2.7-1 specifications. Our fleet of units include the following:

CCA’s long-standing commitment to quality has resulted in the company earning a broad customer base and a high degree of repeat business. Just recently the company was re-awarded a valued contract.

Andy Drummond, CCA’s managing director, says: "Recent contracts previously held for a number of years have been retained and extended for a further five years with two year potential extensions. This is a good example of the service we provide: we operate a considerable amount of units for them but we also handle the inspection and maintenance aspect of equipment that passes through their base. We have a team of people on site assisting them in their operation."

"We want to keep the customer and the team happy," he says. "I set this business up on the basis that I wanted to enjoy life at work and as a company we want people working with us and not for us. That helps us to build relationships with the client too; we rely on personal contact to build and retain business.

"We are not a big faceless corporation, everyone right up to the directors is available to discuss issues and we all welcome candid feedback – if you don’t listen you don’t learn and I’ll happily own up to learning from mistakes. You have to be willing to do that in any business.

"We know that this is a changing market, we know we have to move with the times and come up with ideas and working practices that suit the client and hopefully because we are motivated and prepared to do that it gives us the opportunity to retain our clients. We listen, present ideas and move forward as a team – and that team includes the client."

CCA’s growth to date has been based on building such relationships – something that is not about to change. This approach is clearly effective and CCA’s solid reputation in the industry, along with the expansion at Lomond House completed in 2008 costing almost £1 million, setting sure foundations for future growth.

To that end, we now plan to invest upwards of £5m in new fleet and this investment will set CCA as a leader in the offshore container industry," Mr Drummond concludes.
