Simmonds Equipment is a global provider of fit-for-purpose oilfield equipment and specialist services for the international oil and gas industry. DNV 2.7-1 / EN 12079 offshore containers

Our containers are designed and built to DNV 2.7-1 / EN12079 standards, capable of handling the dynamic loads inflicted on them by lifting operations between moving vessels in the harshest of environments. They have the advantage of retaining their ISO block configuration along with pad eyes, which allows them to be stacked on location with ISO locks.

The containers are built to the CSC standard, which allows them to be stacked as regular cargo on a container vessel. This dramatically reduces the trans-ocean transportation cost of oilfield cargo between regions without having to be shipped as out of gauge cargo in flat racks or break bulk like other DNV containers. Project equipment can be shipped directly offshore without transfer of cargo contents.

Our cargo-carrying fleet includes dry boxes, open top, and half-height containers that come in 20ft, 10ft, high cube and custom sizes, and are available fully galvanized, in addition to mini containers, gas racks, baskets, mud skips, equipment frames and chemical tanks.

Offshore fire and blastproof accommodation modules and engineering cabins

Simmonds Equipment can provide offshore fire / blast-protected modular enclosures and skid mounted process equipment packages for a wide range of applications, including accommodation modules, engineering cabins and workshops designed to customer specifications. Our cabins have the following specifications:

Offshore refrigerated containers

Our fleet of refrigerated containers includes standard 10ft and 20ft with integral gensets. Custom applications are also available. These refrigerated containers (reefers) can be lifted with slings for an offshore crane lift. Our reefers are built similar to a marine reefer so you have the maximum available cargo space for palleted food. The containers are installed with Thermo King equipment that can be maintained and supported by the company's global network of dealers and service outlets.

Hazardous area generators

At Simmonds Equipment, we supply three categories of power generation equipment rig safe generators, Zone 2 / Class 1 Div 2 hazardous area generators and project-specific generators. These provide the full scope for generators operating in the oil and gas industry. All of these options are available with the appropriate lifting certification for your application.
