Deepwater Corrosion - Offshore Corrosion ControlDeepwater is a full-service corrosion control company, supplying the offshore oil and gas industry with expertise in every area of asset integrity management. From sacrificial anodes to full-engineered cathodic protection systems, Deepwater provides design, manufacturing, consulting, delivery, and installation supervision to any of the main market areas. Using our own proprietary product designs, Deepwater has always focused on innovative methods and new products to improve lagging industry standards. The result is a much more reliable and cost-effective approach to corrosion control offshore. CATHODIC PROTECTION SYSTEMSDeepwater is a leading supplier of sacrificial anodes and impressed-current CP systems. Deepwater’s main focus is overcoming the challenges that aging cathodic protection systems pose for those operators with mature offshore assets. Retrofitting a cathodic protection system with the traditional methodology is dangerous and expensive. Deepwater’s CP retrofit technology is intuitively designed to maximize the amount of steel protected while reducing installation time and the intervention of divers, thus keeping the danger and cost of the operation to a minimum. All of Deepwater’s retrofit systems, whether sacrificial or impressed current, can be installed by ROV. POLATRAK CATHODIC PROTECTION MONITORING SYSTEMSOur Polatrak cathodic protection monitoring equipment is the most comprehensive collection available to the market. Consistently praised in the industry for rugged build-quality and intelligent design, Polatrak permanent monitoring systems provide asset managers with every dimension of data possible, allowing them to feel confident about the cathodic protection systems they have in place: Polatrak systems include the following:
I-ROD CORROSION-RESISTANT PIPE SUPPORTSOne of the first proprietary Deepwater products, I-Rod quickly became the industry standard corrosion-resistant pipe support in the Gulf of Mexico in the 1980's. Since then, the product family has grown to include pipe support assemblies for almost any application, from standard topside steel pipe (Nu-Bolt assembly) to saddle-clamp style supports (I-Liner). By reducing moisture at the pipe support, the semi-circular I-Rod allows topside piping to avoid costly crevice-corrosion related failures for the life of the original design, replacing outdated and faulty technology, such as neoprene pads or corrosion-catalyst tapes and wraps. POLATRAK CATHODIC PROTECTION PROBESIn addition to permanent monitoring systems, the Polatrak brand includes a line of the highest quality cathodic protection probes for divers and ROVs. Polatrak probes are all self calibrating and built with redundancy in mind, with dual readouts, and twin elements, to ensure performance in the field. This redundant design essentially makes each probe two separate, independent systems in one. With improved battery life (one dive season) and ultra-bright LED readouts, the CP Gun is the premier diver-held CP probe for survey work. Rated up to 3,000m, and completely independent of existing ROV systems on-board, the Deep-C-Meter (with ROV II Prove) is the only system of its kind working in deep water CP surveys. The ROV operator simply stabs with the ROV II probe and views the ultra-bright LED readout with the camera system on-board.
