FIRE-PROTECTIVE COATINGS

Firetex epoxy hydrocarbon intumescents (fire-protective coatings) give up to three hours of fire protection within an oil, gas and chemical environment, thus protecting steelwork, bulkheads and decks against pool, jet and non-jet fire scenarios.

Blast-resistant to pressures in excess of 4bar, our Firetex coatings provide effective fire protection to any hydrocarbon project. Despite the challenging and sometimes aggressive environment of the oil, gas and chemical industry, Firetex hydrocarbon intumescents are tough, durable and lightweight when compared to conventional cement-based fire protection.

Firetex has NORSOK approval, and is tested to UL1709 and the UK / Norwegian hydrocarbon fire test curve.

SECONDARY CONTAINMENT LINING

Developed using polyurea technology, Polyspeed containment lining can stick to any shape and has a curing time of less than 60s. Offering a speedy solution to secondary containment projects in confined areas and large-scale tanks, Polyspeed provides a fast return to service.

This seamless lining system also gives excellent resistance against abrasion and a number of chemicals in the oil, gas and chemical industry.

CHEMICAL AND ABRASION-RESISTANT LININGS

The Duraglass range of anti-corrosion products provides long-term protection to waste containers, process vessels, storage tanks and power stations. These anti-corrosion products use glass flake vinyl ester and are the perfect lining solution. They are resistant to over 1,000 commonly used chemicals at varying strengths and temperatures.

Leighs Paints' epoxy glass flake coatings are of particular benefit in splash-zone and immersion areas where corrosion protection is required. The tiny glass flakes are incorporated into the coating to reduce the permeability giving long-term coating durability.

EPOXY NON-SKID DECK SYSTEMS

We provide a wide range of non-skid systems for light and heavy-duty decks where impact and abrasion-resistance is required. Suitable for steel and aluminium helidecks, Leighs Paints' non-skid deck systems meet the latest CAA requirements.
