Since 1980, Begley International has been supplying contract manufacturing, repair services, oilfield products and project driven design products to the offshore oil and gas industry and OEMs. In 2007, Begley International became part of the MCE Group of companies.

The company's main manufacturing, fabrication and service facilities based in Perth, Western Australia are complemented by long term licensee relationships with original equipment manufacturers such as Oilstates and AmClyde.

This combination of licensed, contract, project driven and proprietary design and manufacturing coupled with the ability to service and repair equipment onshore and offshore enables Begley International to deliver a fully integrated service to operators, drilling contractors, installation contractors and OEMs.

Connectors, conductors and casing

Since 1983 Begley International has been the exclusive licensee for the Oil States range of weld on connectors. Begley International manufactures and supplies Lynx, Merlin, Swift, Leopard and custom made Oil States designs from 16in to 60in. To complement the company's manufacturing capabilities a full range of casing services is offered including casing stocking and supply, connector welding services, casing inspection and refurbishment services.

Offshore structures

Marginal field development solutions such as minnow pods and monopod structures can be designed and manufactured with short lead times utilising the company's expertise in conductor and connector technology and welding. The company is also capable of fabricating small topside modules including collapsible heil decks and wellhead access platforms.

Subsea process skids and manifolds

The company routinely provides project management, fabrication, assembly and FAT testing of subsea process skids, in many cases directly to operators.

Bespoke equipment

Begley International is able to custom make drilling equipment such as landing rings, offshore lifting equipment, casing handling products and mud mats.

OEM contract manufacturing

Begley International is proud to be a supplier to first tier OEMs such as Aker Kvaerner, Vetco Gray, FMC and Cooper Cameron. Services provided include valve component manufacturing, inconel inlaying, component machining and refurbishment.

Testing, refurbishment and maintenance

Pressure testing to 15,000psi and refurbishment of valves, wellheads, BOPs and FlexJoints is also available.

Offshore winch and crane servicing

Begley International is a licensed service agent for Braden winches, Unit Crane, Amclyde and American Cranes. The company is also the Australian agent for Amclyde offshore cranes and winch systems for platforms, drilling vessels, barges, supply boats and floating production systems.

Coordinate-measuring machine (CMM)

Begley International is one of the very few companies in Perth to own and utilise a CMM to verify the dimensional quality of every machined part produced in the facility.

A coordinate-measuring machine (CMM) is a device for dimensional measuring. It is an NC machine that is used to move a measuring probe to obtain the coordinates of points on an object's surface. These machines are used to measure the dimensions of manufactured parts. Often these parts have extremely tight tolerances as small as 0.0001in.

The machine uses an X-Y-Z grid to determine its position on a worktable. The probe is used to touch different spots on the part being measured. The machine then uses the X,Y and Z coordinates of each of these points to determine size and position

Offshore engineering and design

Begley International’s in-house design and drafting capability utilises CAD modelling and finite element analysis (FEA) of all parts.
