SAFI Quality Software is a software research and development organization founded in 1986 with headquarters in Canada. The company's R&D efforts are dedicated primarily towards the total integration of its innovative, state-of-the-art structural engineering technologies. The structural applications offered cover most of the structural fields in civil engineering and are adapted to various international standards and unit systems. The technology addresses structural analysis, verification, evaluation, rehabilitation, design, detailing and engineering drawings, fabrication and estimation. SAFI software helps customers in the offshore and onshore industries meet the requirements for API licensing, quickly analyze and compare complex designs, and achieve more efficient structural modelling. The company’s main objective is to ensure the productivity of its end users by providing reliable technologies that are up-to-date and simple to use. Petroleum structural engineering softwareSAFI's PSE Petroleum Structural Engineering software is the engineering tool for the offshore and onshore industries. PSE is also the engineering engine of the Virtual Petroleum Structures (VPS), a new technology for offshore and onshore. Through its multiple views, VPS allows clients to carry out engineering work, design and welding of connections, and to extract detail drawings and fabrication data from a unique database. Therefore, there is no need to use transfer protocols or repeat model generation for the various steps of the project. Petroleum structural engineering services and trainingEngineering services and training are also offered to our customers through our sister engineering service company StructureTech Network. Software for the design and rehabilitation of drilling structuresPSE Petroleum Structural Engineering software is used for the design and rehabilitation of drilling structures, including drilling masts, derricks and substructures for offshore and onshore industries. The software accounts for wind loads, vessel dynamic motions, as well as wave and current loads. The API 4F specifications, third edition, for drilling and well servicing structures of the American Petroleum Institute are adapted for the wind loads, based on the velocity component approach, and for the vessel dynamic motions. Analysis of wind forces, vessel dynamic motion, wave and current loadsThe analysis of wave loads and current generate forces applied to submerged structural members such as platforms and floating hulls are defined through linear and non-linear kinematic in compliance with the API RP 2A specifications. The vessel dynamic motion inertial forces, as well as radial, tangential and translation forces due to acceleration and velocities of the masses attached to the drilling structures, have a significant influence on the structural design and reliability of offshore structures. The API 4F specifications for wind loads are applicable to different configurations of the drilling structures models according to the various wind environment. Such as operational wind, erection wind, transportation wind, unexpected wind and expected wind. Other types of load such as seismic load as well as snow and ice loads, for far northern extreme weather, are considered for the design of masts, derricks, platforms and substructures. Offshore and onshore customersA number of prestigious companies are using the SAFI PSE Petroleum Structural Engineering software for their production project work and have built innovative offshore and onshore derricks, masts and sub structures. Among these organizations are Mastco Derrick Services, Empire International Service Rigs, Lakota Drilling, a Savanna Energy Services Company, Precision Drilling Corporation, Oil Country Engineering Services and other major international companies. SAFI is headed by its founder Dr Rachik Elmaraghy, Eng, PhD. The R&D team consists of a group of senior engineers in structural engineering and computer science specialists.
