Demonstrating ABB Drives commitment to quality and reliability, the water cooled frequency converter has recently received a Type Approval certificate from Germanischer Lloyd. Our water-cooled ACS600 Marinedrive W meets the strictest marine type approval requirements of ABS, DNV, Lloyd’s and now also Germanischer Lloyd.
ABB is the first company to introduce AC drives having marine type approval from all the major classification societies onto the propulsion and offshore drilling market. The water-cooled ACS600 has established itself in the marine and offshore market and has great potential in other industries as well. The water- cooled drive offers a totally enclosed cabinet design up to IP54 with well proven technology for harsh environments.
