EZEE-GLIDER™ CENTRALISER FOR OIL WELL APPLICATIONS

Brunel Oilfield Services' Ezee-Glider™ centraliser offers a range of benefits as realised by our customers in wells and projects worldwide. Brunel Oilfield Services' patented anti-swage ring technology, combined with advanced engineering materials such as composite engineering polymers (eg thermoplastics), gives clients a viable and economical alternative to industry standard metal type centralisers. Our company has grown by 50% per year since 2001, as engineers around the world select Ezee-Gliders™ for their projects.

Thermoplastic polymers have been used as premium bearing replacement materials in other industries for many years. This technology has been captured in our BOS21 type material and the self-lubricating Premium BOS22 material.

Solid metal centralisers and roller type solid steel centralisers have so far been used by many operators when requirements for centralising units are needed for extended reach and / or horizontal well liners, casing and sand screen installations. Both types have their downsides such as weight, cost, complicated design, and poor drillability. In particular the roller type centralisers are not well suited for running into open hole due to their design (which tends to "plow"), and their poor flow-by area.

The Ezee-Glider™ centraliser produces lower friction factors than similar products, with typical field values of +/- 0.10 consistently achieved. The Ezee-Glider™ minimises drag and reduces torque, provides high strength and impact / abrasion resistance. In addition to being HPHT and chrome alloy compatible, the blades have been designed to enhance hole cleaning by maximising flow-by area. Due to Ezee-Gliders™ being five to ten times lighter in weight than standard metal type centralisers (with mechanical properties meeting or exceeding metal type centralisers), they can be shipped by air, thereby reducing transport costs.
