An exclusive European agreement with fabric manufacturer Palrig, Israel, has enabled Structure-flex to launch Palstat+, one of the the first FIBC's in the marketplace manufactured to a Type D+ design using a new technology fabric which meets the new IEC international standard (61340-4-4) due to come into force in October 2005.
The Palstat+ FIBC (flexible in bulk container) combines Type C and Type D technologies to provide the highest levels of protection against static build-up, even if the FIBC is left ungrounded. It is the only FIBC approved by both the Swiss Institute according to the new specification for Type D+ as well as by the Chilworth in the US (for Type D) to this new standard.
Structure-flex is a leading manufacturer and supplier of bulk packaging products and solutions with a wide European distribution network and, in launching the Palstat+FIBC, the company has coupled quality and reliability of supply with competitive pricing and the highest levels of customer service and support.
Pastat+ FIBCs are expected to make an early impact in industry sectors which use high volumes of fine or sensitive powders in volatile environments, and Managing Director Ian Doughty is urging such bulk packaging users to get in touch with Structure-flex, saying:
"An FIBC review by the Structure-flex team will not only cover compliance with the new legislation, but will also look at safety and design performance, rationalisation of specifications and the potential for cost reductions."
