HMC Acquires Pipeline Technique Ltd

Heerema Marine Contractors (HMC) announces the acquisition of specialist welding company Pipeline Technique Ltd (PTL). Headquartered in Rothienorman, Scotland, PTL is a pipeline construction service company specializing in the niche area of automatic pipeline welding for the oil and gas industry.
PTL is a long-time subcontractor and critical supplier of HMC and a successful and mutually beneficial relationship has been established over the years. HMC decided to purchase PTL to build on this relationship and to be able to deliver PTL's services as part of its total package.
HMC continues to focus on maintaining its leading position in deepwater field development. The acquisition of PTL fills a critical need in this supply chain.
PTL was founded by current directors Duncan McGregor and Ian Stuart, who will remain on as executive directors. Duncan McGregor will also remain as a minority shareholder.
PTL will continue to operate as a separate business unit and will continue to serve their present clients. It will remain headquartered in Rothienorman, Scotland.
