ANSUL® LARGE DRY CHEMICAL SYSTEM

ANSUL® large dry chemical systems combine the flexibility of a hand-portable fire extinguisher with the fire-killing power and capacity needed to combat large flammable liquid and gas fires. Offshore applications typically use an ANSUL S-2000 system containing a 2,000lb (907kg) dry chemical storage tank supplying two hose reels with high flow or long range nozzles. The self-contained unit uses four nitrogen cylinders to supply the expellant gas.

ANSUL® PUMP SKIDS

ANSUL® balanced pump proportioning systems (pump skids) provide ANSULITE® AFFF capabilities, most often in foam / water deluge systems. While a special valve regulates the concentrate pressure to match the water pressure, foam concentrate is pumped from the storage tank to the proportioner where it is mixed at the correct proportion into the flowing water stream. AFFF systems suppress fire by forming a vapour-securing fuel-cooling blanket over the surface of flammable liquids.
