INMACO provide safety and loss prevention engineering services, process systems and operate as offshore fire safety contractors. We utilise industry experience, cutting edge technology, and a strong product awareness to provide project execution, integrated solutions and general customer satisfaction.
The company's objective is to become an international provider to the oil and gas industry, supplying safety engineering and contracting services, integrated solutions and high technology products.
Fixed fire-fighting systems are installed in areas representing a major fire risk, and particularly cover equipment containing significant quantities of hydrocarbons.
In addition to deluge, foam supply is provided for all areas where hydrocarbon or alcohol pool fires are likely to occur. According to international standards the fire water system must be operable at all times, including periods of maintenance, and shall ensure adequate supply of water for fire fighting.
INMACO acknowledge these strict international requirements and adopt these specifications into high quality and reliable fire protection systems. We offer the complete range of systems. These include:
Inergen is one of the safest extinguishing gases listed in NFPA 2001, partly because all aspects of the gas have been medically tested and documented. Inergen is utilised as a preventative against consequential fire damage, as (when used as a fire-extinguishing agent) no thermal-decomposing products will be produced. Inergen provides clean and effective extinguishing without any consequential damage beyond the damage from the fire itself.
The INMACO water mist fire-extinguishing systems include fresh water tanks, gas cylinders for pressurization of the water tanks, all necessary electrical instrumentation for operation and control, and nozzles.
INMACO design and manufacture foam fire-fighting systems. Fire-fighting foam consists of air-filled bubbles formed from aqueous solutions. Some foams, notably those that are protein-based, form thick, viscous foam blankets on hydrocarbon fuel surfaces. Other foams, such as film formers, are much less viscous and spread rapidly on the fuel surface. The film formers are capable of producing a vapor-sealing film of surface-active water solution on most of the hydrocarbon fuels of interest.
Low expansion foams are quite effective on two dimensional flammable and combustible liquid fires, but not particularly effective on three dimensional fuel fires.
The foam concentrate storage tanks are produced from Glass-Reinforced Plastic (GRP) and suitable for direct anchoring to the platform deck.
