At the heart of every gas monitor is the sensor. We don't buy our sensors, we make them. With over 60 years of experience developing and making sensors, our gas monitors are built around the highest quality and longest lasting sensors available.

The sensors inside our instruments are aged and tested from one to three months, resulting in a two to four year life span, which translates into a lower cost of ownership for our customers. As a result RKI's gas monitors are the most reliable and can detect more gases and gas ranges than any other manufacturer.

Some of our unique gas monitoring solutions include a watch-style single gas monitor, the smallest single gas combustible, the smallest four-gas confined space monitor, a versatile six gas portable with over 250 configurations, a complete line of infrared continuous fixed monitors for inert monitoring as well as a complete line of fixed gas monitors.

THE M2™ STAND-ALONE TRANSMITTER

The M2 is a stand-alone transmitter for combustibles, oxygen, and toxic gases. It operates as a stand-alone system or as a part of a total system with analog or digital signals. Each M2 has two programmable gas alarms and a fail alarm, all with relays. A digital display shows the gas reading and alarm / status lights. A magnetic wand simplifies calibrations for one person without declassifying an area. An automatic zero drift correction provides stable readings.

THE EAGLE SIX GAS SAMPLE DRAW PORTABLE MONITOR

With over 250 versions available, the Eagle is considered to be the most versatile, rugged, and reliable portable gas monitor on the market. This field proven portable instrument does more than offer standard confined space protection. The Eagle has a simultaneous readout of up to six combinations of gases never before offered in a portable gas detector.

GASWATCH 2 - SINGLE GAS MONITOR

The GasWatch 2 is a single-gas monitor that detects O2, CO, or H2S. It can be worn either on the wrist, belt, hard hat, or clipped to protective wear and operates for over 3,000 hours on one battery, and it even tells the time.

GX-2003 - THREE GAS MONITORS IN ONE INSTRUMENT

Built around our own high-quality micro-sensors, the GX-2003 is a unique combination of three monitors including a confined space monitor (for measuring H2S, CO, % LEL/%volume methane, and O2), a PPM methane leak detector, and a bar hole sampler for locating underground gas leaks all packaged into one rugged and compact design.

The GX-2003 is equipped with a powerful internal sample pump that has a 40ft sampling range. The large LCD display shows all gas readings, battery level, current time, and will automatically backlight in alarm conditions. The GX-2003 will alert you of a dangerous condition in three different ways by using alarms that will vibrate, visually flash, and audibly alarm. Controlled by a microprocessor, the GX-2003 continuously checks itself for sensor connections, low battery, circuit trouble, low flow, and calibration errors.

The GX-2003 can interchangeably operate on either a Ni-MH battery pack or three AA alkaline batteries. The batteries are simple to replace requiring no tools to access the battery compartment. The Ni-MH battery pack can receive a charge directly within the instrument or separately, allowing the unit to remain in service.

INFRARED DETECTOR HEADS

RKI is pleased to announce the release of our infrared line of detector heads. IR heads are now available with our direct connect sensors, the S Series transmitter, and the M2 stand alone transmitter with digital display.

Infrared sensors have a variety of advantages over other sensor technologies. For example IR sensors are more resistant to sensor drift or sensor poisoning. They can sustain continuous exposure to gas samples and the life expectancy is much longer than traditional catalytic sensors. They are especially useful in applications where catalytic LEL sensors are poisoned by silicone, or where no oxygen is present (inert environments).
