Simtronics ASA, formerly the fire and gas division of Simrad Optronics ASA, is a world-leading supplier of fire and gas detection equipment and solutions. COMBUSTIBLE GAS DETECTION

Our wide range of combustible gas detectors comprises both infrared and catalytic sensor technology. Standard point, extended point, and open path detectors covers all relevant applications.

The Simrad GD10 gas detector is the benchmark for IR gas detectors used by the offshore industry and is still the company’s major export product. From being a standard general point detector, the GD10 family now has solutions for open path, air intakes, turbines and exposed areas. The GD10 is in service in environments ranging from cold/wet offshore platforms in the North Sea to hot/dusty onshore plants close to the equator.

TOXIC GAS DETECTION (H2S, CO2, ETC)

TT63ES - H2S Semiconductor - This high-spec H2S detector uses a semiconductor sensor that overcomes most of the problems associated with this technology. The TT63ES has higher reliability and lower maintenance.

FLAME DETECTION

Fire detection has developed over the years, and our present generation of intelligent, self testing detectors is among the fastest and most reliable detectors on the market. Flame detection is a challenge to compare, and the normative 30x30cm test fire may not show the whole picture.

TV63 (UV/2xIR OR 3xIR)

The sophisticated TV63 flame detector is able to combine fast response, high sensitivity and interference immunity. By changing the sensor head, you may choose 3xIR or UV/2xIR detection to suit your environment and application.

FIRE FIGHTING

Water Mist systems using normal low pressure, single fluid supply for protection of: hangars, tunnels, computer rooms, turbines, diesel engines, building protection, cable tunnels, Helideck.

Active fire protection: extinguishers, deluge, sprinkler, foam, hose, hydrant, Inert gases (IG55).

SYSTEMS AND CONTROLLERS

THE SYNTEL SYSTEM

The Syntel system is an addressable detector network, based on the industry standard LonWorks protocol. The protected ring topology, the use of distributed processing and galvanic isolated sections are all elements of a network suited for high reliability applications.
