Trelleborg Viking - Rubber Fire Protection Products, Flexible Piping Systems, Pipe Penetration Seals

Located in Norway, Trelleborg Viking is an experienced manufacturer of rubber-based corrosion and jet fire protection systems to the offshore industry.

We manufacture corrosion and jet fire protection materials, flexible connections, thermal insulation and blast and impact protection. Our protection systems are designed and supplied to match the lifetime of the client's installation.

Specifically our products include flexible piping systems, passive rubber fire protection materials and pipe penetration seals.

ELASTOPIPE™ FLEXIBLE PIPING SYSTEM

Elastopipe is a patented flexible piping system specially designed for use in hazardous and corrosive areas. Statoil, ConocoPhillips, BPAmoco, Norsk Hydro, Norwegian Navy and Statsbygg sponsored the development of the Elastopipe piping system in 1996 under the leadership of Trelleborg Viking AS.

The main objective was to develop an alternative to the traditional steel and glass fibre based systems, such as Titanium, CuNi, CS and GRE/GRP. The main requirement was to develop a flexible piping system with high flexibility both in design and installation that was also non-corrosive and jet fire resistant.

VIKING FIRESTOP / JETFIRESTOP - RUBBER-BASED PASSIVE FIRE PROTECTION

Trelleborg Viking's Firestop and Jetstop products are rubber-based passive fire protection materials that have been tested to withstand a blast for 2bar and a jetfire for more than two hours. Smoke and toxic fumes from our products are reduced to a minimum. The materials possess superior chemical and water resistance and are very robust, providing effective impact resistance. The rubber compounds are subjected to Ozone and UV light tests.

HPT PIPE PENETRATION SEALS

Our HPT range of pipe penetration seals is designed to withstand both blast and jet fire. The system is build up with a combination of the well proven HPT seals and Viking Jetfirestop material. This gives a unique protection. Some of the benefits are as follows:
