HVAC and refrigeration verification surveys, design and project engineering

Our engineering services include system verification surveys, conceptual design engineering, detailed design engineering, CAD design services, and production of complete engineering documentation packages including basis of design, system design calculations, workpacks, method statements, etc.

HVAC and refrigeration equipment manufacture and supply

We supply:

Complete system installation

This service can be provided as part of a turnkey ventilation or refrigeration installation package using our own skilled installation personnel, or alternatively as a stand-alone service utilising client supplied material.

ATEX HVAC equipment and systems

To assist clients in meeting the requirements of the ATEX regulations, we design and build bespoke HVAC equipment and systems. Our capabilities also extend to meeting other client specific international standards, such as NORSOK and GOST.

We have recently invested heavily in developing a standard range of ATEX products ranging from ‘through the wall’ units, suitable for crane cabins and smaller modules, up to chillers capable of delivering in the region of 500kW of cooling.

System air balancing commissioning / re-commissioning

System air balancing and commissioning can be carried out as part of our turnkey supply or as a standalone service.

Local exhaust ventilation (LEV) examination and testing

It is a requirement of UK COSHH legislation that all local exhaust ventilation (LEV) systems are examined and tested at least once every 14 months. We provide LEV examination and testing to a wide range of clients. Where systems fail to meet the recommendations of the regulations, we work with clients to introduce cost effective remedial actions.

Temporary refuge (TR) module air leakage testing

Temporary refuge (TR) module testing of air leakage rates in compliance with PFEER and safety case regulations is also available.

Refrigerant leak detection

Under the 'F Gas' regulations there is a legal requirement for certain air conditioning and refrigeration equipment to be inspected / leak tested or, alternatively, to have fixed detection systems installed. We can provide refrigerant leak detection, advise on the requirements of the legislation and offer practical solutions to ensure compliance.

Air quality sampling and monitoring

Given the various potentially hazardous contaminants in the offshore environment, we are able to offer clients air quality sampling and monitoring options to ensure that they meet their obligations to employees under the health and safety at work legislation.

HVAC and refrigeration systems repair and maintenance support

We also provide ad-hoc repair and planned maintenance services across the full range of HVAC and refrigeration systems and work with clients to effect rationalisation of their maintenance systems to ensure optimum up-time with minimum system intervention.

Duct cleaning

Ventilation hygiene is becoming increasingly important from a health and safety and employee welfare perspective and our ventilation hygiene services division provides comprehensive ductwork inspection, microbiological sampling and internal ductwork cleaning, including galley extract systems to prevent the likelihood of fires occurring.

Engineering equipment and parts supply

Our engineering equipment and parts supplies division, Spares Unlimited, provides clients with a full range of engineering equipment and spares produced by major manufacturers from across the globe. We are official Carrier Marine equipment dealers and supply the full range of Carrier equipment and spare parts at competitive prices.

Acoustic engineering

Increasingly noise issues are coming to the fore and we are able to support our clients in ensuring that the requirements of the relevant regulations are achieved, or bettered, through the engineering of appropriate acoustic solutions.
