BSP Hydraulics - Hydraulic Joystick Controllers, Motors, Filters and Cylinders

BSP Hydraulics was established in 1992 and provides a range of hydraulic products, including hydraulic joystick controllers, motors, filters and cylinders. We are the sole UK distributor for Parker Hydraulics Gresen, Apitech products, Hydro Leduc and Kazel.

Accumulators, pumps and take-off units

BSP Hydraulics offers a range of products from the French manufacturer Hydro Leduc. These products include accumulators, fixed displacement pumps, variable displacement pumps, industrial/mobile pumps, truck pumps and power take-off units.

Valves, joystick controls, pumps, motors and filters

BSP Hydraulics distributes a variety of products for Gresen (who are now owned by Parker Corporation), including:

  •  Monoblock valves
  •  Sectional valves
  •  Accessory valves
  •  Hydraulic joystick controllers
  •  Tyrone pumps and motors
  •  Hydraulic filters

Directional valves, joysticks, electro hydraulics and spare parts

BSP Hydraulics is the sole UK distributor for Apitech and offers directional valves, joysticks, electro hydraulics and spare parts from the company.

Car-transporter spares

BSP Hydraulics continues to widen its product range, which now includes car-transporter spares from Lohr, Rolfo, Kassbohrer and Charles Roberts. We cater for all transporter needs, including hydraulic motors and gearboxes to deck screws and MV nuts.

Hydraulic motors

Hydraulic motors transform hydraulic flow into rotating speed and hydraulic pressure into mechanical torque. Motor rotating speed is proportional to the flow which is supplied to it. The torque produced is proportional to the hydraulic pressure the motor receives.

Hydraulic motors are typically used in applications that require high torque within a small size. They are essential for rotations where mechanical solutions are complex or even impossible, electrical or pneumatic power sources are not available, or when environments are dangerous and include risks such as explosion or extreme temperatures.

Reliable hydraulic motors

BSP Hydraulics provides hydraulic motors from Hydro Leduc. All structural components in the motors are made from similar materials, which results in consistent thermal expansion and exceptional reliability. Hydro Leduc motors are made to operate in all positions.

Hydraulic motors with mineral-based hydraulic fluid

Hydro Leduc’s hydraulic motors are designed to be powered with mineral-based hydraulic fluid. Using other fluids is possible but may require a modified motor. The recommended viscosity for the hydraulic motors is ideally between 15cSt and 200cSt, and the maximum range is between 5cSt and 1,600cSt.

The service life of the motors depends greatly on the quality and the cleanliness of the hydraulic fluid used. We recommend using hydraulic fluid that meets the following standards of cleanliness: NAS 1638 class 9, SAE class 6 and ISO/DIS 4406 class 18/15.

Hydraulic-motor speed sensors

The minimum rotating speed needed to obtain continuous rotation in a hydraulic motor is 200rpm. However, in certain conditions, the motor can run at speeds as low as 50rpm. The M-series of motors can be fitted with an induction-type speed sensor to measure rotating speed as well as the direction of rotation.

Long-duty bent-axis hydraulic motors

Hydro Leduc’s M-series of bent-axis hydraulic motors are suitable for intensive, long-duty requirements. The M-series is designed for both mobile and industrial installations and meet the ISO standard 3019/2. Its typical applications include vehicle transmissions, high power crushers, forestry equipment and heavy duty winches.

SAE-interface bent-axis hydraulic motors

Hydro Leduc’s MXR series of bent-axis hydraulic motors is designed for use in applications where intensive use is intermittent. This includes truck equipment applications, construction equipment and agricultural machinery. These motors are designed with an SAE interface.

Bent-axis hydraulic motors with DIN interface

Hydro Leduc’s MX series of bent-axis motors are designed for applications requiring intermittent service, such as truck and construction equipment, as well as agricultural machinery. These motors are designed with a DIN interface.

Flushing and resupply valves

Flushing and resupply valves are used to create flow to cool the motor. This is essential for all intensive uses of motors and contributes to long service life, particularly in closed loop transmission applications. The valve takes some hydraulic fluid internally from the return connection port (low pressure) and reinjects it into the motor housing. This is then evacuated via the motor drain line.

Flushing and resupply valves are only available for use in motors with side ports (N1 or Q1 in order code).

Hydraulic cylinders, cool packs, hoses and fittings, PTO units and hand pumps

BSP Hydraulics provides a full range of accessories, hydraulics cylinders, PTO units, pneumatic products, hydraulic cooler packs, AC/DC power packs, hand pumps and hydraulic hoses and fittings.

Hydraulic equipment repair

BSP Hydraulics is now able to offer a repair service for all types of hydraulic equipment.
