RENOVATION OF IRON ROUGHNECKS

At Hydropower, renovation and upgrades on iron roughnecks, pipe handlers and cranes are some of our core competences. Renovations can include the following:

UPGRADING STARTER SYSTEMS FOR GAS TURBINES

In upgrading gas turbine starter systems, Hydropower rebuilds the existing hydrostatic transmission into a new transmission, which has shown great reliability and increased working life. Because of the better possibilities for regulation on a variable motor, the pressure is reduced from 350 bar to 250 bar, with the same unit size.

OFFSHORE CRANE UPGRADES

Hydropower provides total rebuilding of hydraulics for the operation of offshore cranes. All functions made with hydrostatic transmission with variable pumps and motors can be upgraded. We have rebuilt more than 30 National OS 435 and OS 215 cranes over the years.

HYDRAULIC REPAIRS AND OVERHAUL

Hydropower repairs all kinds of pumps, valves, motors and cylinders. Thanks to the fact that equipment is checked for correct functioning on test benches, Hydropower offers warranty periods for repairs. If inspection reveals that the repair would be uneconomic, we will quote you for a replacement.

HYDRAULIC COMPONENT SALE, SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE

Sales of hydraulic components and extensive services such as maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting etc. are a key function of Hydropower. All jobs are carried out by well-qualified employees such as project engineers and service engineers with many years' experience.

To ensure that jobs of all sizes are solved in the best possible way, the company cooperates with some of the largest hydraulic equipment manufacturers in the world. We also have a comprehensive stock of hydraulic parts.

OFFSHORE HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS ENGINEERING

Hydropower's project engineers can handle the whole process of an offshore project from the first customer advisory session, through to engineering, certification (according to DET NORSKE VERITAS, Lloyds, etc.) and finally production. Hydropower has extensive experience in designing offshore hydraulic systems.
