Hotwell - Well Logging Systems

Hotwell is a wireline logging services, tools and equipment developer and manufacturer that serves the oil industry worldwide. We have developed several unique well logging systems based on our philosophy of "best components - simple design - rigorous testing - no sacrifice to performance". At Hotwell, we always listen carefully to our end users' needs, requests and suggestions.

Cased hole logging systems

Our range of cased hole tools includes: casing collar locator tools, gamma ray and spectral gamma ray tools, tracer ejector tools, dual neutron tools, temperature and pressure tools, pressure-temperature tools, bond tools (cement bond log and radial incremented bond log), audio tracer tools, free point tools, and casing and tubing inspection tools (multi-finger calliper log and pipe inspection system). They are available in 1in, 1-3/8in and 1-11/16in diameters, with temperature and pressure ratings up to 250°C (432°F) and 138MPa (20,000psi) respectively.

The Activation Flow Logging Tool™ is an efficient, environmentally friendly and reasonably priced fluid velocity measuring well logging tool compatible with the Warrior data acquisition system and with HWFlow™ - Hotwell Interpretation Software.

Hotwell’s Pulsed Neutron Neutron™ (PNN) system is a thermal decay type tool that detects thermal neutrons. The improved technology with unique processing, imaging and quantitative hydrocarbon saturation interpretation enables usage of the tool in lower salinity and lower porosity formations. PNN is compatible with the Warrior data acquisition system and with HWProc™ - Hotwell Interpretation Software.

Production logging tools

Hotwell manufactures production logging systems in the 1in, 1-3/8in and 1-11/16in diameters that can be rated from standard 175°C (350°F) to 230°C (450+°F) hot hole strings. All of Hotwell's production logging tools (PLT) for the petroleum industry are available in either a simultaneous PLT string form or as separate analogue sensors. The most advanced of Hotwell's PLT is SIPLOS™ (simultaneous production logging system). This digital well logging tool is compatible with the Warrior data acquisition system and with HWFlow - Hotwell Interpretation Software.

Open hole logging equipment

The Hotwell open hole well logging equipment product line is based on the ACE 5000 (advanced creative express platform), the platform that adopts advanced technologies resulting in a decrease in systems string length, an overall improvement of the layer resolution and the time efficiency of measurement. The ACE 5000 platform integrates well logging instruments used in the regular open hole services: electrical survey, dual laterolog, dual induction focused log, compensated acoustic log, high resolution acoustic log, microspherical focused log, four-arm calliper log, gamma log, spectral gamma log, compensated neutron log, compensated density log, spectral-density log, continuous deviation and orientation log, high resolution six-arm DIP meter.

Services

As a global wireline service company, Hotwell offers well logging services, both open hole and cased hole. In both cases we possess experienced professionals, advanced logging interpretation and expert know-how to meet each customer’s individual needs.

Our cased hole logging services line includes perforating, cement evaluation logging, production logging, casing and tubing inspection, reservoir monitoring by PNN, setting services and pipe recovery that enables better completion and production processes during operations. Open hole logging measurements are based upon the ACE 5000 platform. All our data processing, interpretation and petrophysical services are available worldwide and are supported by our log analysis centre, located in Klingenbach, Austria.

When special services are required by clients, we provide service through sub-contractors that follow our logging standard as agreed with the client. By cooperating with our partner company, NPS International, we can expand our line of products and services to fulfil all of your needs within the hydrocarbons industry.
