Unirig - Rigging, Lifting and Mooring Equipment Manufacture, Testing and Supply


Unirig is the Australian arm of Franklin Offshore International. As such, we manufacture, test and supply rigging, lifting and mooring equipment for the offshore oil and gas and other industries.

We are well situated to service major industries with branches operating from Perth, Dampier and Darwin. Within Australia, Unirig represents the following companies and products:

Unirig is also a NATA accredited testing laboratory, offering mechanical and non-destructive testing services, proofloading and certified visual inspections, in-house or on-site.

Lifting, rigging and mooring equipment hire

Additionally, the company has a large inventory of hire equipment, which includes: on and offshore rigging lofts or containers, twin shank SHHP and many other standard type anchors, anchor chain and accessories, hydraulic and electric spooling machines, mooring buoys, double drum mooring winches, heavy lift slings, and general lifting equipment.

Mooring and lifting services, tensile testing and weighing capability

Unirig personnel are available to assist in the following key areas: mooring and lifting equipment design and advice, wire rope and streamer re-spooling, and synthetic fibre and wire rope splicing and inspection. Unirig's Henderson branch has two tensile testing machines, one with an ultimate load of 1,200Kn and for larger tests, the other with a capacity of 6,000kN. Of course both are NATA endorsed.

The company provides weighing capabilities to 1,600t, determining centre of gravity, testing of cranes using water weights and a large selection of NATA calibrated compression and tension load cells.

Heavy lift and mooring equipment sales

Unirig also have a large inventory of heavy lift and mooring equipment for purchase, such as: on and offshore rigging lofts or bare containers, anchors, anchor chain, surface and submersible buoys, pennant wires, spooling units, winches, spreader beams, cable laid wire rope slings and grommets, all categories of shackles, tow wires, synthetic towlines, grommets, mainlines and specialty wire ropes, particularly for on and offshore cranes.
