Eztek Limited, a provider of surface instrumentation to the oil and gas industry worldwide, has been awarded ISO 9001:2008 certification after demonstrating adherence to strict quality-management standards. The certification is awarded based on rigorous examination of procedures for quality control management, covering the full scope of the company’s activities.

"We’ve always been committed to providing quality solutions for our clients," says Eztek general manager Robin Hunter. "This proves that we’re doing it right. We’re very proud of what we’ve achieved."

Eztek, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, secured £500,000 in contracts between April and May. This included a large order from Expro as well as an order for new 10 way Zone 1 rig intercoms. The intercoms are part of Eztek’s TalkBack range, which has been used in the field for over 10 years. They are being built for a rig manufacturer in Italy to be used in Siberia, and are capable of operating in temperatures of -50°C.

The anniversary year has also seen an increase in staff at Eztek, with the hiring of several production staff and a regional salesperson.
Within the coming weeks Eztek will move ahead with the next phase of its long-term expansion plan, beginning construction on a two-storey office building between its warehouse and production facilities in Blackburn, Aberdeenshire.
