Eztek have provided a customer with a torque against turns recording facility on a stroking drill pipe machine, which once again proves that the impossible can be done.

To our knowledge, these high torque machines have only ever produced a torque against time graph. In some cases, a fully rotating machine is required, which are much more costly and complex. These machines are typically limited in torque output and cannot, in most cases, make up a high-torque drill pipe.

With vast torque machine experience and dedicated design team, Eztek provide the complete hardware and software solution.

A true mechanical torque turn graph eliminates errors and proves the connection to be made up correctly. Installation takes less than one day and can be carried out by the customer using our technical instructions and support. We can even rent the calibration tool, which will provide UKAS national and international traceability to 100,000ft/lb.

Robin Hunter, sales and marketing manager for Eztek, states: “Our torque system is based on our most popular electronic PCB design. Together with our proven industrial workshop computer, we provide the most sensible and robust solution.”
