Walsall designs, certifies and manufactures explosion protection technology for the offshore industry. We produce electrical equipment including local control station and control panel equipment, emergency shutdown equipment and fully customised items at our ATEX-licensed facility.

All products within our "Ex" portfolio are designed to withstand the rigours of the harshest environments whilst maintaining explosion protection to the latest worldwide standards. In addition to providing our range of standard products, we specialise in customising for individual client specifications.

ATEX LOCAL CONTROL STATIONS AND CONTROL PANELS

Pushbuttons, switches, indicator lamps, meter units, plugs, sockets and MCBs have all been component-approved and can therefore be installed inside any of our approved enclosure ranges. This allows us to offer a huge range of different local control stations in GRP, stainless steel, mild steel or aluminium.

Our LCP range (GRP) is, we believe, the most robust in the market today. The product is built for longevity and performance, as are our LCS (stainless steel) and LCA (aluminium) ranges.

Our XLCP (stainless steel control panels) and GLCP (GRP control panels) are available in a huge array of sizes and again are designed for the most rugged of environments. Our EEx de (m) approved components are lid-mounted, leaving room for rail-mounted terminals for ease of wiring.

Our ASMCP range (EEx d cast iron / aluminium) is a true custom build portfolio of products that allows the user to specify virtually any electronic device for installation. These can be combined with EEx de terminal enclosures / control panels to facilitate ease of wiring / installation.

Multi-functional assemblies can be frame-mounted with all the designs / drawings performed in-house.

CUSTOMER-SPECIFIC ASSEMBLIES

Our fully ATEX-licensed customisation facility can produce a terminal box, control function or empty enclosure to individual customer specifications at lightning speed. Our in-house fabrication equipment includes fully automated CNC drilling, milling, cutting, punching, bending, welding and polishing. All of these operations are complemented by our in-house team of ATEX certified assemblers, who are ready to produce and install rail-mounted terminal assemblies, control components, glands, plugs and many other accessories.

Our certification also allows us to design and fabricate any size enclosure to accommodate for those extra special customer requirements.

APPROVALS

All Walsall products are approved to the latest European ATEX standards, along with GOST R, GOST K, IECEX and UL / cUL pending. The company is also fully ISO9001:2000 approved and is listed as an approved supplier to the majority of worldwide specifying companies within the petrochemical markets.
