SOLUTIONS FOR HAZARDOUS AREA APPLICATIONS: KLIPPON® TB SERIES ENCLOSURES

Weidmüller has launched its new range of Klippon® TB enclosures manufactured in stainless steel and high grade steel for harsh industrial environments. The new Klippon® TB carries ATEX approval.

Weidmüller's Klippon® TB-Series of enclosures has been in use for over 30 years, especially in harsh industrial and hazardous environments. The Klippon® Terminal Box (TB-Series) is a byword for competence, quality and all-round solutions in products and services. Klippon® enclosures allow to create cost-efficient and versatile solutions for electrical connections. Various projects serve as excellent reference to underline the versatility of the Klippon® TB-Series.

The Klippon® TB-Series offers IP66 / IP67 protection rating and is suitable for use in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 85°C. All enclosures are ATEX approved as Weidmüller already fulfils the new ATEX directive mandatory since July1, 2003 throughout EU countries.

CUSTOMER SPECIFIC SERVICES FOR ATEX ASSEMBLIES

Our complete customisation service, approved for the manufacturing of ATEX assemblies, mills, drills, paints and assembles enclosures according to customers' specifications. Weidmüller installs components onto mounting rails, as well as assembling cable glands in the enclosure – all according to customer specifications. The enclosure is then individually modified to suit the application: cost-efficient and on time. Needless to say that we also deliver empty enclosures for non hazardous applications.

RAIL-MOUNTABLE PRODUCTS: TERMINALS, RELAYS, OVERVOLTAGE PROTECTION MODULES, POWER SUPPLIES

In addition to terminals and glands we can assemble customer specific enclosures using other rail-mountable products such as relays and optocouplers, overvoltage protection modules, certified power supplies, etc.

Weidmüller terminals are available with all types of connection technologies:

• Screw-type connection as featured in the SAK- and W-series
• Tension clamp technology in the Z-series
• IDC (insulation displacement technology) in the I-series

FIELDBUS FOUNDATION (FF) AND PROFIBUS PA

These are open fieldbus standards (EN 50 170, IEC 1158-2) specifically developed for the requirements of the process industry, in particular remote supply and intrinsic safety. FF and PA permits several sensors and actuators to be operated on one common bus.

The fieldbus FB connector offered by Weidmüller permits connection or replacement of field devices without interrupting the bus system. A broad range of accessories as well as preassembled cables and plugs round off the program.

TOOLS, MARKERS AND MARKING SYSTEMS

Weidmüller's extensive range of cutting, stripping, crimping and fastening tools is at your disposal for completing your installation. Markers and marking systems for permanent and reliable equipment and cable identification complement the product range.
