As part of its strategic focus on vertical access within the construction and industrial area, Alimak Hek has divested the Raise Climber business and related assets in the subsidiary Alimak AB to the Toronto based Arkbro Industries.

The divestment does not involve the transfer of the brand ALIMAK or any employees and is not expected to lead to any significant changes of the Alimak Hek manufacturing unit located in Skellefteå.
Introduced in 1957, the Alimak Raise Climber and the Alimak method of raising signified an enormous improvement of working conditions, safety, speed and accuracy in raise driving. Today it is still the most efficient solution and is in use in many countries over the world.

“The Raise Climber business needs a focused owner able to develop the business further. I’m very pleased that Arkbro Industries, a company well known in the business, has acquired the Raise Climber business and can continue to support the Raise Climber customers,” says Petter Arvidson, CEO for the Alimak Hek Group.

Mr. Evan Mamas, Arkbro Industries president, says: “We are delighted to acquire the Raise Climber business from the Alimak Hek Group. The Raise Climber business has been and will continue to be a core business for Arkbro Industries. Our plan is to further develop the technology and equipment to meet and exceed customer expectations in terms of safety, quality, performance and reliability.”

From a practical standpoint, the transfer mean that Arkbro Industries from now on will assume all support, service and spare parts activity for the already delivered ALIMAK Raise Climber equipment in the market. Arkbro Industries will also continue to support all old and new customers with Raise Climber products under the trade name of Arkbro Industries.
