Offshore lifting and lashing equipment

Bridon's offshore lifting and lashing equipment includes rated lifting chain sets,, wire casing slings, wire container rigging and leaders, transport chains, lifting chains, anchor and sudlink mooring chains, high-load and high-tensile 2pce and 4pce shackles, hooks, rigging screws, turnbuckles, chain blocks, lever hoists, wire pullers, container lifting lugs, eye bolts, plate lifting clamps, rud lifting and lashing rings, unicon lifting eyes, and grade 80 and 100 lifting fittings.

Specialist wire ropes

Dyform® 34LR multi-strand lifting ropes offer exceptional 'low rotational' properties, incorporating a high steel fill factor that provides high strength, crush resistance, improved fatigue performance and low stretch.

Dyform 6 ropes offer a high steel fill factor, providing high strength and excellent resistance to crushing and abrasion.

Chains and chain slings

Cookes is the New Zealand distributor of Kuplex, Weissenfels and Yoke Grade 80 chains and components. Chain slings are manufactured in all its branches.

Synthetic lifting slings

Synthetic lifting strings manufactured by Cookes include:

  • Web slings manufactured to order in either Cookes' Auckland or Christchurch factory
  • Slings with widths from 38mm to 300mm, and safe working loads to 12,000kg
  • Endless round slings

Height safety equipment

A wide range of height safety equipment to cover most applications and environments to AS/NZS, ANSI and EN standards is available:

  • Full fall-arrest body harnesses
  • Derek monkey-board rig harnesses
  • Lanyards, life lines and restraint devices
  • Retractable and fall-arrest lines from 2.2m to 50m
  • Rescue and confined spaces systems

Testing services

Bridon has the largest proof-loading test beds in New Zealand (200,000kg) at New Plymouth and Auckland, with smaller test beds in most branches throughout NZ. It also operates a number of mobile testing vans for on-site servicing.

Transmission products

Bridon's transmission products include quality offshore drive chains, conveyor chains, sprockets, v-belts, power bands, GT polychain belts, hydraulic hoses and stainless fittings.
