10 offshore cranes for Ekofisk 2/4M

This week Dreggen received an order from Kvaerner Egersund for the delivery of ten cranes to Ekofisk 2/4M wellhead and process platform. The operator of the platform will be Conoco Phillips and the platform will be situated in the central Ekofisk area bridged to the 2/4J platform.

The order has a value of approx 7 million NOK and will be delivered in the spring of 2004.

The crane package consist of two 25 tons electric overhead travelling cranes and two 15 tons electric overhead travelling cranes to be installed under the drilling module skidding deck structure.

The cranes will be used in EExe Zone I - IIB/T3 area and will be designed according to all relevant regulations.

In addition Dreggen will deliver four 6 tons and two 3 tons manual operated overhead travelling cranes to be used in the same area of the plaform.

All cranes will be designed and constructed according to DNVs rules and regulations.

General information:

Dreggen Crane A.S is located with offices and production facilities by the seaside in Bergen, on the west coast of Norway, with deepwater quay, and a total of 2000 m2 in workshops and offices.

The organisation has grown to count 40 employees with annual sales of USD 10 millions.

Dreggen delivers the following explosion (EX zone 1+2) proof lifting equipment:

· BOP handling cranes.
· Pipe & Riser handling cranes.
· X-mas tree handling cranes.
· Electric, hydraulic, pneumatic, diesel and manual operated cranes and lifting equipment.
· Hoists, trolleys and slewing cranes.

Dreggen cranes and machinery are produced to exceed all relevant standards and operates according
to ISO 9001.
