No. 1 External Lifting Tool to be operated on board of HMC’s SSCV Thialf, to grab the 4th leg, with launch runner, including timber blocks, of the no.2 Murchison platform semi-jackets .

The ELT is hydraulically operated, it can handle tubulars from 1.800mm to 2.300mm and has a max lifting capacity of 2.000mT.

This ELT has been specially designed in order to allow to operate with the launch runner timber blocks still in place.

This tool can be easily modified in the future to handle a standard circular tubular.

Highlighting its skills in designing and manufacturing of mooring systems, riser pull-in systems, hydraulic friction clamps, pipe tensioners, pipe handling systems, umbilical handling systems, davit cranes and subsea special tools, F.lli Righini takes the opportunity to thank Heerema Marina Contractors for the confidence in awarding the contract.
