A 1,250mton Shiploader from Hong Kong to Brazil

17 June 2009

MV Frauke loaded a 1,250mton shiploader for SAL client Hansa Meyer Global Transport, Germany, on Hong Kong anchorage. The overdimensional unit measured 35m x 15m x 22m. For the loading operation SAL used the vessel's own 800mton shackles together with custom-made grummets.

The shiploader, which has a loading capacity of 16,000mton per hour, is bound for one of the biggest iron ore ports in Vitoria, Brazil. Due to the measurement and weight the cargo was transported in the lowerhold with open hatches.
