CHAIN HOISTS

The ST chain hoist programme from STAHL CraneSystems ranks among the most distinctive and comprehensive on offer. The ST series is available in 13 SWL ranges, from 125kg to 6,300kg. It can be used as a stationary hoist with suspension hook or eye, with rigid mounting, or with a push or electric trolley, and is particularly suitable for rugged applications in industry.

The extremely short headroom available as an alternative for every type of chain hoist optimises the effective hook height while keeping wear on the chain to a minimum. In addition to the standard designs, off-standard versions and individual solutions for customers are available.

The ST chain hoist programme from STAHL CraneSystems is also available in explosion-protected design for Zone 1, Zone 21 and Zone 22. STAHL CraneSystems was the first hoist manufacturer to convert the whole chain hoist programme to ATEX.

WIRE ROPE HOISTS

The adaptable wire rope hoists from STAHL CraneSystems are designed as an uncompromisingly modular system and calculated for an SWL range from 500kg to 160,000kg.

The versatile SH series is available for the SWL range from 500kg to 25,000kg in five frame sizes with 26 SWL variants. The upper SWL range, up to 100,000kg, is covered by the tried-and-tested AS 7. The SHW8 winch programme extends the area of application into the heavy load range up to 160,000kg.

A compact, sturdy construction is concealed behind the attractive design of STAHL CraneSystems’ wire rope hoists. They are extremely reliable, extremely powerful and have above-average service life. Every hoist is available as an explosion-protected hoist in Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 21 and Zone 22.

EXPLOSION-PROTECTED CRANE SYSTEMS

In material handling, explosion protection is a special discipline of fundamental importance. STAHL CraneSystems has over 80 years’ experience in the field of explosion protection.

The foundation is provided by STAHL CraneSystems’ own basic research and systems development, as well as by the provision of explosion protection solutions from one supplier: many components contributing to the explosion protection of an STAHL CraneSystems crane installation are manufactured in-house. Explosion protection engineering for individual safety solutions is also part of the STAHL CraneSystems product spectrum.

STAHL CraneSystems is today the world’s leading and most competent partner for explosion-protection solutions for Zone 1 and Zone 2. Numerous approvals for Zone 1 underscore this – from the Federal Physico-Technical Institute in Braunschweig and from other inspection authorities, e. g. in Belgium, Canada, Poland, Switzerland, the Czech Republic and Hungary.

CONDITION MONITORING SYSTEMS

Wherever production processes need to be monitored and controlled, condition monitoring systems are in use - for example - the STAHL overload cut-off SLE is integrated as standard into STAHL wire rope hoists.

The STAHL multicontroller SMC device is used on the SH wire rope hoist if precise operating data and maximum safety are required in crane operation. Since mid-2006, the newly developed cable-free crane technology has permitted operating data to be transmitted from the crane-hoist to the radio transmitter without cables.

If a crane is equipped with more than one hook, different loads can be attached that involve considerable hazard potential. Hazards can be prevented by the SSC flexible load summation device. It evaluates the signals from up to four load sensors.
