Offshore explosion-proof lighting

Whether your needs include incandescent, high-intensity discharge (HID), linear fluorescent, compact fluorescent or light emitting diode (LED) luminaries, Rig-A-Lite has a safe, tested solution for the Class I Division 1 rated areas of your drilling rig or offshore platform. Our explosion-proof lighting is also listed for marine environments and elevated temperatures, adding value and longer life.

Offshore hazardous location lighting

Rig-A-Lite's collection of hazardous location lighting fixtures includes aluminum, stainless steel, non-metallic and bronze, all of which are designed for problem-free operation in the Class I Division 2 areas of your offshore facility.

Rig-A-Lite's range includes:

• MAR2 Series: UL listed for hazardous environments where protection is needed from liquids or gasses
• AFL Series: a versatile one-piece aluminum floodlight with a baked on bronze polyester finish, used in environments where protection is needed from liquids or gasses
• SSFN Series: a versatile one-piece stainless steel floodlighting product used in environments where protection is needed from liquids or gasses
• SAF Series: our most versatile product by far; often referred to as the 'troffer of the hazardous and severe environment lighting industry'
• SAFR-LED Series: an addition to our already extensive SAF/R product offering; widely used on offshore drilling rigs, land drilling rigs, etc.
• RFL/MFL Series: a grid mount linear fluorescent luminaire

Marine-rated lighting

Many of our offshore customers need lighting that is not explosion-proof or hazardous location rated but that is rated for UL1598A marine outside type and marine inside type locations. Whether your needs include incandescent, high-intensity discharge (HID), linear fluorescent or compact fluorescent, our floodlighting, berth lighting, bunk lighting and obstruction lighting have proven to provide the quality and durability necessary to survive environments like yours.

• EFL Series: a versatile one-piece aluminum floodlight with a baked on bronze polyester finish
• M Series: M series fixture is UL 1598A marine outside type certified, wet location flood light typically sold to marine facilities for crane and dock lighting
• RML Series: a compact fluorescent luminaire used in the living quarters
• IMF Series: a linear fluorescent luminaire used in the interior areas of a rig

Safe and cost-effective lighting installation and maintenance

Rig-A-Lite is proud to partner with Swivelpole™ to provide the safety and cost reduction that their products allow for the lighting on your offshore facility. Pole-mounted lighting fixtures can now be accessed safely and easily for regular inspection and maintenance by one person at multiple heights, achieving a safe and comfortable working position which dramatically reduces maintenance and inspection costs.

Available in structural steel, hot dip galvanized, stainless steel and aluminum and in standard or custom lengths, we can provide a cost-effective alternative to traditional lighting installations.
