R. STAHL introduces the GUBox (type 8265) range of explosion-proof enclosures which are approved for use in zones 1 and 2 as well as class 1 and division 1 throughout the world. They are suitable for assembling motor starters, control boxes and terminal boxes, and can house switches, measuring equipment, customer-specific boards, power supply units and similar components.

The product range consists of four basic sizes. All models are available on short notice. The Ex d enclosures are manufactured from a copper-free, seawater-resistant aluminum alloy. Optionally, their cover features an integrated, distortion-free viewing panel which allows users to read displays of measuring equipment within. The units can also be equipped with an O-ring if required. Since the enclosure body is machined to high precision and the O-ring fits securely in place, ingress protection is reliably and permanently improved from IP54 to IP66.

Thanks to the full-size lid cover, the inside of the enclosure is easily accessible to users for installation and maintenance. Explosion and flame proof cable glands or threaded holes for pipe connections allow for direct cable entry. Indirect cable entry can be implemented by means of models featuring increased safety (Ex e) connection chambers. In addition, R. STAHL offers users application consulting and provides complete packages, including control systems and valid approvals, upon request.
