Walsall - Standard and Emergency Offshore Lighting

Walsall supplies a wide range of explosion protection equipment for the offshore industry, including fluorescent, HID and portable lighting.

All products within our "Ex" portfolio are designed to withstand the rigours of the harshest environments whilst maintaining explosion protection to the latest worldwide standards. In addition to our range of standard products, customising for individual customer specification is our specialty.

FLUORESCENT, HID AND PORTABLE LIGHTING

EEx d, EEx de and EEx nA fluorescent lighting ranges are manufactured to the highest standards, again with longevity, safety and performance in mind.

Highly innovative HID lighting (floodlights and well glass) is manufactured for use in Zone 1 and Zone 2, as well as Zone 21 and Zone 22. The Zone 1 and 21 products have been designed with the installer in mind and hence incorporate integral EEx e terminal chambers and quick relamping features.

Accessory and portable lighting completes the range offering with bulkheads, portable hand lamps and tank inspection luminaries approved for Zones 1 and 21.

ENCLOSURES

Walsall's range of SL, AL, FXL and XL approved enclosures are designed for use in the severest conditions. Manufactured from stainless (316L) steel, mild steel with a zinc plating followed by any coloured powder coat or powder coated aluminium, Walsall's Ex ranges are approved for Zone 0, Zone 1 and Zone 2, plus the dust zone equivalents with some products approved up to IP68.

The GL and GVU ranges are manufactured from Glass Reinforced Polyester (GRP), again designed to meet the harshest of conditions. All are approved for Zone 0, 1, 2 and the dust zone equivalents.

FLAMEPROOF ENCLOSURES (EEx d)

The ASMT range is designed for much more arduous conditions and are cast in iron or aluminium, both with a full range of complementary paint finishes and surface protection. Again approved for Zone 0, Zone 1 and Zone 2 and the dust zone equivalents, if a tough solution is the requirement, ASMT is the answer.

INHOUSE CUSTOMISED FABRICATION SERVICES

Our fully ATEX licensed customisation facility can produce a terminal box, control function or empty enclosure to individual customer specifications at lightning speed. Our in-house fabrication equipment includes fully automated CNC drilling, milling, cutting, punching, bending, welding and polishing, all complemented by our in-house team of ATEX certified assemblers ready to produce and install rail-mounted terminal assemblies, control components, glands, plugs and many other accessories.

Our certification also allows us to design and fabricate any size enclosure to accommodate for extra-special customer requirements.

All Walsall products are approved to the latest European ATEX standards, along with GOST R, GOST K, IECEX and UL / cUL pending. The company is also fully ISO9001:2000 approved and is listed as an approved supplier to most worldwide companies within the petrochemical markets.
