A 750t module was loaded by SAL’s MV Lone in Ravenna, Italy, and discharged at the MMHE yard in Pasir Gudang, Malaysia.

There was a draft restriction alongside the berth, which necessitated the use of spacer barges to keep the vessel in deeper water. As a result, MV Lone discharged the module in a single lift over a wide radius of about 12m. Due to the excellent stability characteristics of the 183 Type, there was no need for a stability pontoon. The discharge was completed safely in only 1.5 hours.

The AGRU module is destined for a new 13,000t gas production platform in the Indian Ocean. At the end of July, the AGRU module will be installed onto the platform by the Asian Hercules II crane vessel. The gas platform is currently being built and will be completed in October 2012.
