TEK-Ocean is an Australian privately owned and operated company formed in 2007 by people with extensive experience in oil and gas and related industries. Our directors and investors have a diverse range of skills and expertise in the industry. Through their vision TEK-Ocean was formed to offer three distinctive service streams to the oil and gas industry:

TEK-Ocean Energy Services is focused on providing engineered solutions and resources to support the operational and project requirements and demands of our clients for all new and proven subsea, completion and well construction and work-over operations.

Engineering Services provided by TEK-Ocean Energy Services include innovative technical solutions, 3D modelling and partnering with AML engineering services.

Maritime services – handler / supply vessel charter

TEK-Ocean Maritime Services is the owner of a small anchor handler / supply vessel, the MV Yarabah. This vessel was purchased to primarily operate from the port at Barry Beach to transport fuel, water and equipment and supplies to the Bass Strait. It can be chartered bare boat or under supply time agreements. Key features of the Yarabah are:

• Draft 3.9m
• Carrying capacity 600t
• Bollard pull 50t
• Tugger winch 5t
• Tow cable 3,000ft (diameter ¼in)

Logistics services for the Bass Strait oil and gas fields

Gippsland Maritime Logistics (GML) was established to operate a logistics base from Port Anthony at Barry Beach to primarily service the Bass Strait oil and gas industry.

Barry Beach is 180km south east of Melbourne and is ideally situated to service the Bass Strait oil and gas fields. Presently the only port in existence at Barry Beach is owned and operated by Esso Australia, leaving only the Port of Melbourne or Geelong for other operators. Port Anthony is operated by GML giving open access to all operators in the region.

Our Barry Beach warehouse is fully operational with a 4.5acre hardstand transport yard and 2,000m² fully enclosed warehouse situated 1.5km from Barry Beach Port.
