offshore oil rig

EM&I has won a contract from major drilling contractor Ensco for the Bottom in Water Survey (UWILD) on the Bureau Veritas-classed semi-submersible drilling rig ENSCO 5004.

The rig is currently carrying out offshore drilling operations in Libya.

This is a milestone contract for EM&I, as it is the first contract with Ensco and on a semi-submersible and will use EM&I’s ODIN & NoMan technology to complete the survey.

EM&I special project director Graham Cross said "I am very pleased that we have secured this first contract with Ensco based on safety, cost and POB benefits.

"The initial site survey has been completed and we will now deliver the rest of the scope utilising a combination of ODIN, NoMan and Rope Access Inspection".
