Pacific Drilling has awarded EM&I a fleetwide agreement to provide UWILD services using ODIN® technology.
Pacific Drilling’s fleet of eight drillships represents one of the youngest and most technologically advanced drilling fleets in the world.
CMO Judy Burdett said: "We had very positive and productive meetings with Pacific senior management in Houston. This resulted in the creation of this important agreement which was followed by a contract to carry out an ODIN diverless UWILD on the ultra-deep water Pacific Bora drillship."
The work on Pacific Bora will take place offshore Nigeria and will not require the asset to come off hire. The project introduces several ‘world-first’ innovations including the inspection of critical moon pool welds using specialised remote cameras.
