Wera - Industrial Screwdriving ToolsWera is an international specialist for industrial screwdriving applications. The company from Germany offers screwdrivers, screwdriver bits, L-Keys, bitholders, adaptors and torque tools to cover all kinds of manual and power screwdriving requirements. Wera offers special solutions for screwdriving situations under humid conditions, caused by water, oil etc. A new generation of stainless steel tools with extraordinary severity and firmness-value has been developed to encounter increasing anti-rust requirements for screwdriving actions. Special products are designed for special requirements in segments such as aerospace, automotive, electronic assembly or metal cutting. Kraftform® SCREWDRIVERS SERIESAll Wera screwdrivers are based on the Kraftform® handle. The shape of the Kraftform® handle has been ergonomically designed to fit the shape of the human hand, and is the result of long-lasting studies by independent institutions. Several features increase the productivity of the Kraftform® screwdriver. High levels of torque are achieved through the optimal friction to the soft zones of the handle. Nearly frictionless contact with the hard zones of the handle ensures high speed. The microrough Lasertip® blade - achieved by a lasering treatment of the blade resulting in a hardness of up to 1000 Vickers - reduces cam-out forces. STAINLESS STEEL TOOLSWera has developed a range of rust-resistant stainless steel program containing screwdrivers, bits, bit-holder and L-Keys that prevents "3rd party-rust" from accruing when non-stainless-steel screwdrivers are used on stainless steel screws. THE CHISELDRIVERThe chiseldriver is designed not only for screwdriving but also for loosening, knocking off and chiselling. Safety is optimal due to an integral impact cap, a pound-thru hexagonal blade and extremely high grade material. The hex bolster transfers higher torque by the use of an open-jawed or ring spanner, the integral hex-shoulder prevents tool roll-off and the Wera Black Point drive tip has optimised protection against corrosion. SCREWDRIVER BITSThe Wera Bit range includes all popular drive and tip styles. Diamond bits feature thousands of tiny diamond particles which are applied to the tip of the tool and bite into the recess of the screw. This leads to reduced cam-out forces. The BiTorsion® system extends the lifetime of tools, screws and surfaces. BiTorsion® bits have a softer torsion zone into which kinetic energy is absorbed from the drive tip during load peaks. The BiTorsion® bit holder also has a torsion zone and takes low tension peaks out of the bit and cushions them. BIT HOLDERSWera offers a wide range of bit holders for each drive style - magnetic and non-magnetic, with snap-ring or the quick-release chuck. A Wera speciality is the Rapidaptor® - a further development of the quick-release holders with 5 additional advantages:
The Rapidaptor® with ringmagnet has been developed to hold long and heavy screws. It provides an optimal penetration depth for the screws and is also ideal when working "over-head". L-KEYS / HEX KEYSWera L-Keys provide increased safety and high torque transmission through the use of selected material and unique hardening technologies. Features for improved productivity are:
The Wera L-key clip consists of two material components and can be opened quickly and simply by means of a sliding catch. The hex keys are clearly laid out when the clip is opened. Here, any hex key can be easily removed without having to move or turn any other key. The special HF TORX® hex keys from Wera feature a new holding functionality. This has been achieved through a new manufacturing process resulting in an optimised geometric fit: conical contact surfaces of the TORX® profile running towards the point of the tool, combined with a further optimisation of the side surface and an ideal insertion depth. TORQUE TOOLSThe best results when fastening can only be achieved by controlling the tightening of the screw. Wera offers torque tools according to different market needs:
Important features are high precision, unlimited loosening value, easy-to-read scale and integrated Rapidaptor® quick release chuck.
